Well, I supose the value of creating an RSS feed is that when you add, or change, the content on a page, or site, the people who have subscribed to that page/site are informed of the change. If it's an article they are given the title, and a brief description of, or sometimes, the whole article. For my site I will be placeing an RSS feed on my Events page(s). This way my subscribers can know when new events come up, or when there are changes to existing events. It might even turn out to be a little reminder of upcoming events.

My Thoughts on Microformats
The purpose of these is still a bit fuzzy to me. I get that it is an easier way to give people information, but only if they know about it. Only a handful of people know about this stuff right now, and most of those people are the one's doing the coding. It looks like we are trying to make this the next big thing in web, but I think it's going to take some time to get the masses to use it on a regular bases. Even though I will be using it in my code, I more than likely wont use it in real life. Mostly because I wont expect it to be on other sites. But maybe that will change in the future.
